COURSE OUTLINE
The course consists of multiple modules covering core areas of clinical psychology:
Module 1: Fundamentals of Psychological Assessment
- Clinical Interview Techniques
- Mental Status Examination (MSE)
- Psychological Testing
- Case History and Data Collection
- Understanding DSM-5 Diagnostic Criteria
- Identifying Comorbid Conditions
- Differential Diagnosis Strategies
Module 2: Major Psychological Disorders in Adults: Diagnosis and Management
- Depression: Symptoms, screening tools (e.g., PHQ-9, BDI-II), CBT, medications, lifestyle modifications
- Anxiety Disorders: Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder; phobias, assessment tools, exposure therapy, relaxation techniques
- Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD): Diagnosis using Y-BOCS, ERP therapy, medication management
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD): Trauma assessment, EMDR, trauma-focused CBT
Module 3: Major Psychological Disorders in Adults: Diagnosis and Management
- Borderline Personality Disorder: Symptoms, and management
- Histrionic Personality Disorder: Symptoms, and management
- Dissociative Disorder (OCD): Diagnosis and management
- Marital/Relationship issues: Management and couple counselling

Mrs. Misbah Nosheen is working as a Clinical and Child Psychologist for more than 12 years. She is an expert in understanding, diagnosing, and managing mental, emotional, and behavioral issues in children and adolescents. She works with children, parents, and schools to create supportive environments and develop strategies that help children navigate various challenges. She can professionally use various methods like clinical interviews, observations, and standardized tests to evaluate mental health, cognitive abilities, emotional well-being, and behavioral issues. She has been proficiently managing issues in children and adolescents and sing various evidence-based interventions such as play therapy, behavioral therapy, family therapy, Parent child interaction therapy, Cognitive behavioral therapy and counseling.
